Quilt Wall Hanging w/Family Bday
I have made many beautiful items for lots of people. Well it was time I made something to hang in our home. This is the a one of a kind. Since we are all addicted to www.Pinterest.com I have looked at many really neat items with anniversary and birth dates. This is what I came up with for us. The wedding ring quilt is my favorite of all the quilts. My girlfriend Theresa came over and helped me with this. It took us about 2 hours to get all the cuts right. The circles we cut out on the Cricut and used George Basic cartridge. The outside circle was cut at 8 1/2" and the inside was cut at 7 1/2". The papers are from Paper Studio and My Mind's Eye. I wanted to use a guy and girly paper. I bought the background paper in the art section at Hobby Lobby and it is acid free. I used Tim Holtz distress inks to distress the background paper. The 4 other pattern papers are from several My Mind's Eye collections. I already had the frame. I painted the frame and inside of the back of the frame with a light brown. I cut Dietrich out with Winter Wonderland about 2" and used reposition able adhesive to attach it to the background. Then added crackle, let that dry and used Burnt Umber to paint over. I missed some spots or it wouldn't crackle in some spots so I distressed it myself. I cut the center piece from Elegant Edges at 3" and not sure which piece I used. I have terrible handwriting so I called a friend Julie to come write the dates for me. What a super great piece. I was really excited about it. Thanks Hugs Robbin
